It is with great sadness to announce that on March 9th, 2020, Chuck Kraft passed away peacefully with family at his side. Chuck was an incredible husband, father, grandfather, fly fishing guide, fly designer, fly tyer, friend and always a true gentleman. I was lucky enough to be business partners with him, but even luckier to have him as a friend. He will be missed by many. He was a legend. Many of us, will make sure his legacy lives on.
Rest in Peace Chuck.
My name is William Heresniak and I own Eastern Trophies Fly Fishing. Chuck and I began working together in 2010 producing his tails for his fly patterns. This website will be an education source, a tribute page and a memorial to Chuck Kraft. It will be driven by content provided by the people that knew Chuck from Family, to fishing clients, to friends, neighbors, fans he met at Fishing Shows and more. Please feel free to email anything that you might think will be helpful in making this website as informational and fun to remember him by. Content could be photos of Chuck, photos of his flies, funny things that happened with Chuck, Short Stories, Video clips and more. I will do my best to keep the website up to date as content comes in. Feedback and suggestions are also very welcome. Chuck Kraft will be missed, but his legacy will live on. “Early morning fog will still roll over the eastern mountains, tomorrow...
but the trout will be confused! They will not feel Chucks footsteps along the banks he trod for these many years. The trout will adjust... and come to recognize the sounds of scores of folks that Chuck influenced and who came to call him Friend.
It’s the natural order of things, and the way Chuck would have written it.....”
